FAQs
How long does a house extension take to build?
The lead time on manufacturing our systems ranges from 6 – 10 weeks depending on current volume of orders. A clear time frame will be given ahead of order confirmation. All systems can be installed on site within 3-7 days, depending on individual site factors (e.g. moving of drains etc).
Do you do side returns?
Yes! A side return can be included in your project.
What are your payment terms?
50% - First instalment payment required immediately to commence manufacturing
40% - Second instalment payment required 4 weeks prior to installation
10% - Third installment payment required on the final day of installation
Because our systems are made to measure just for you we do require most of the payment upfront.
Do I need planning permissions / How far can I extend my property without planning permission?
Under permitted development, you can extend your property by the width of the current dwelling and project up to 3 metres on a town or semi-detached house. You can project up to 4m on a detached house with the same width as the existing dwelling.
However, with a 21 day proposed larger home application (which we can undertake on your behalf) you can double the projection – giving you a 6 metre allowance on a semi-detached property and 8 metres on a detached property. This also includes a neighbour consultation scheme which informs your neighbours of your plans to extend - if no objection is received your extension will be granted. You can read more about this here.
Please note that you will be responsible for ensuring you have the correct planning permission.
